-1992 Royal Caribbean Classic…made up six shots on Gary Player to defeat him by one stroke at the first full-field event of 1992. His victory proved the best come-from-behind effort of the year and tied an all-time mark at the time.

-1991 NYNEX Commemorative…finished one shot off the pace of winner, Charles Coody, despite shooting 196 for 54 holes. It was the lowest score recorded on the circuit that did not result in a victory.

-First cracked the Senior Tour winner's circle in 1990 at the rain-shortened Greater Grand Rapids Open. Shot 65 on the last day of the event and came from five behind to edge Terry Dill, David Hill, and Larry Laoretti by a stroke.

-Spent time as club professional in the Houston area between his PGA Tour and Senior tour careers.

-His best year on the PGA tour was 1966, when he collected both of his victories and finished 26th on the money list.

-Fell to Don January in an 18-hole play-off (69-71) at the 1967 PGA Championship.

-Finished among the Top-60 PGA money winners in 1962, 1966 and 1967.
