Donnie Massengale has over fifteen years of teaching experience and has learned under some of the games finest instructors. Donnie also has a wealth of playing experience as a two-time All-American, three-time All Conference player and MVP of the Sam Houston State University golf team. More recently, Donnie was selected to be a member of the Sam Houston State University “Hall of Honor”.
Donnie also played professionally for seven years after leaving Sam Houston State University. He won twice on the Texas Tour, as well as the 1991 Toyota Skins Game Pro-Am held at PGA West. He also played the Golden State Tour, the Jordan Tour and was a Ben Hogan Tour Member.
Donnie attributes most if not all of what he has learned about teaching to his late father, Don Massengale and the late Harvey Penick. He also gained much of his knowledge while caddying for his dad on the Senior PGA Tour, getting to spend time and talk to the legends of the game. Donnie has also had the privilege of learning from the late Dick Harmon, Chuck Cook, Mark Steinbauer, Cole Smith and his brother Mark Massengale.
